§ Terms · In force from 2026-10-18

Terms of service

Terms for using grunden.ai — parties, service description, pricing, permitted use, AI Act responsibilities and Swedish law.

§ 1

Parties

These terms apply between Grunden AI AB, org.nr 559341-9129, VAT no. SE559341912901 ("we", "us", "Grunden") and you who create an account on grunden.ai ("you", "Customer").

§ 2

The service

Grunden provides access to the open language models listed at /modeller through a unified OpenAI-compatible API and a web interface. Inference runs on latest-generation hardware in Sweden. Grunden does not own the model's underlying weights (licensed from Z.ai under MIT) but operates and serves them independently.

§ 3

Account and responsibility

You are responsible for keeping your password secret. All activity through your account counts as performed by you. If you suspect the account has been compromised, change your password immediately and contact us.

You must be at least 18 years old or represent a legal entity to enter into an agreement.

§ 4

Prices and payment

The service is offered in the following forms:

  • Free mode (chat). Without a subscription, 3 prompts/day are included. A per-session rate limit protects against abuse.
  • Chat subscription. €9.90/month per seat incl. VAT (or €99/year per seat) provides unlimited chat, with a daily token cap to prevent abuse. Charged per seat as described under Seats below, and renews automatically until you cancel.
  • Enterprise. Chat, Grunden Cowork and Grunden Office Extensions, with more usage per seat. Charged per seat as described under Seats below; the current price per seat is shown under Subscriptions before you start the trial or subscribe. Renews automatically until you cancel.
  • Prepaid wallet. You top up a balance and are charged per token for API calls. Consumed balance is not refunded (DAL ch. 2 §11 p. 11 — digital content). Unused balance can be refunded manually on request via support@grunden.ai — see the withdrawal section below.

Currency. Prices and balances are stated in euros (EUR). Card payments are made in Swedish kronor (SEK), converted at the rate we set, or — when topping up your balance or starting a subscription, if you choose so — in euros without conversion. The amount you pay is shown before you pay and appears on the receipt. Subscriptions can be paid in SEK or EUR. The currency is chosen when you subscribe and applies for as long as the subscription runs. To switch currency, cancel the subscription and start a new one once the period has ended.

All prices are stated including VAT under Swedish rules, or excluding VAT with reverse charge when an EU VAT number is provided. A cash invoice is issued automatically on every top-up.

Trial and transition to a paid subscription

Every subscription can start with a free trial of at least 30 days. To start it you register a payment card; the card is verified with a small charge that is refunded immediately. Nothing is charged during the trial.

Transition to paid. The trial becomes a paid subscription no earlier than 30 days after it started, and only once we have introduced per-seat billing for the plan. We notify you at least 7 days before the first charge, with the date, price per seat, number of seats and amount. The price per seat is the one shown when you started the trial, and it never goes up without a new notice under section 9.

Seats. The subscription is charged per seat. Each team member is a seat, subject to the plan's minimum number of seats. Seats are counted on the day the trial becomes paid. A personal account has one seat.

Cancelling. You can cancel the trial at any time; it then ends immediately and nothing is charged. A paid subscription can be cancelled at any time and runs until the end of its period; nothing more is charged after that.

If the charge fails when the trial becomes paid, you have 3 days to update your card. Otherwise the trial ends.

Right of withdrawal (consumer)

As a consumer you have a 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts under the Swedish Distance Contracts Act (2005:59). To withdraw from a top-up, contact support@grunden.ai within 14 days — we refund the unused portion to the original payment method. To close your account entirely, use "Delete my account" on your profile page.

Exception — digital content: Completed AI responses, API calls and other deliveries that have already taken place are not refunded, since delivery has occurred (DAL ch. 2 §11 p. 11). In practice this means consumed balance is not refunded. Refunds of unused balance are requested via support@grunden.ai and processed manually — we aim to complete them within 14 days per the Distance Contracts Act.

Close the service

To close the service, go to your profile page and press "Delete my account". The button is placed with the same visual weight as the registration button (same size + prominent colour signal). Deletion takes effect immediately. To also have unused balance refunded to the original payment method, contact support@grunden.ai — we process refunds manually within 14 days.

§ 5

Permitted use

You may not use the service to:

  • violate Swedish or applicable EU law,
  • generate or distribute content that is illegal (hate speech, child sexual abuse material, incitement to violence, IP infringement),
  • send automated requests exceeding the rate limit or degrading the service for others,
  • attempt to extract model weights, bypass safety filters or reverse-engineer the service,
  • impersonate Grunden or a model provider.

On violation we may suspend your account immediately without refund.

§ 6

Intellectual property

You own the prompts you send and the responses generated for you to the extent permitted by Swedish copyright law. Grunden does not claim ownership of your content.

GLM 5.3 Flash is distributed under the MIT license, which permits commercial use of generated responses. Still review the license terms if you intend to resell output at scale.

§ 7

Limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is". LLMs may generate inaccurate, biased or misleading information — you are responsible for verifying output before using it.

For free use (chat without subscription), Grunden's total liability is capped at €50.

For paying customers (subscription or prepaid wallet), Grunden's total liability per calendar year is capped at the amount the customer paid us in the preceding twelve months, but at least €500. For intent and gross negligence the cap does not apply. We are not liable for indirect damage such as lost profits or lost data.

For business-critical use with higher liability commitments, contact us for an individual agreement.

§ 8

Termination

You can delete your account at any time from account settings. Any active subscription runs until the end of the period. Accounting records are kept 7 years per the Swedish Bookkeeping Act.

§ 9

Changes to the terms

We may update these terms. Material changes are announced by email or in-app at least 30 days before they enter into force. Continued use after the effective date counts as acceptance.

§ 10

Governing law and dispute resolution

Swedish law applies. Disputes are resolved in Swedish general court with Stockholm District Court as the first instance. Consumers may also turn to Allmänna reklamationsnämnden (ARN).

§ 11

EU AI Act (2024/1689)

Grunden is a deployer of the GPAI model GLM 5.3 Flash (open-weight, MIT license from Z.ai) and a provider of the AI system (the chat and API). Grunden is not a GPAI provider of the model — technical documentation and the training-data summary are Z.ai's responsibility under art. 53.

If you build a service covered by a high-risk classification under art. 6 and Annex III, you are the provider of that system and are responsible for complying with art. 9–15 (risk management, data governance, logging, human oversight, robustness, technical documentation).

The following uses are prohibited under AI Act art. 5 and may not happen via our API:

  • manipulation that causes physical or psychological harm,
  • exploitation of vulnerabilities of specific groups (age, disability, socio-economic status),
  • social scoring of natural persons,
  • untargeted scraping of facial images from the internet or CCTV for biometric databases,
  • emotion detection in the workplace or in education,
  • biometric categorisation inferring sensitive attributes (ethnicity, political opinion, sexual orientation, etc.),
  • prediction of crime based solely on profiling of an individual.

You must also meet art. 50 transparency requirements (inform users they are interacting with AI) and machine-readably mark synthetic image/audio/video content. Violation leads to immediate suspension and the full sanctions provided by applicable law.
